Happy New Year!!
Looking back at 2008 it has been the best year for me by far. I set a few goals for myself at the begining of the year and I’m happy to say I acheaved all of them. I was on 100.7fm (246 Radio) twice, played at Import Fest, Footwork, Basement, Tonic, Loki, and WEMF. I had such a blast all year and cant wait to see what 2009 has in store for me.
I have to thank everyone who has supported me. Without you I wouldn’t be doing this. Your support means so much and I hope to make you dance again in 2009.

Lest We Forget
In the crazy world we live in sometimes it’s easy to forget why we have the things we do. Today is November 11…aka Remembrance Day. Today we give thanks to the men and woman who fought so hard to give us our freedom. Without their sacrifice we wouldn’t have the things we have today, including house music.
I have to thank all our veterans for giving us the freedom to do what we love

The First Mix Review
The first entry in a new series simply titled “Mix Review” I will be reviewing one of my favorite mix cd’s… Anas Attias “Zeitoon”
Its one thing to make a mix cd…its another to make one with a message. That’s what Anas Attia did with “Zetioon”. You will understand the concept of the mix right from the intro and it carries on through-out. Expertly placed vocals really show his thoughts on a “touchy” subject that most people are afraid to discuss make this cd something special.
Its different from his other mixes such as the “dirty house” series, but when you talk about what he does in the mix you have to. Anas put a lot of time into the programming and development of this and it really tells. You can hear the progression of the tracks from start to finish. In most mixes that I hear the tracks are all over the place and have no real flow or structure, not the case for “Zeitoon”.
I really like throwing this cd on after a long night of partying. Its the kind of mix you can play on your way home from a club, its relaxing but still jumpy enough not to put you asleep. I would highly recommend downloading it at www.anasattia.com

Gibson Lake
If you don’t know what Gibson Lake is you are truly missing out on one hell of an experience. I would compare it to WEMF but better in every way. Dom and crew really know what they are doing when it comes to throwing parties. The amount of work involved is astonishing and I have to thank everyone involved in the planning and setup of this great event.
This was one of the best weekends I have ever had. I wrote on facebook that WEMF was the best experience but after this weekend I have to say that Gibson Lake has taken over top spot. It was so much fun going back to back with Chris Fresque and Kevin “DJ Bliss” Sullivan, our styles really mixed well together and I hope to do something like that again soon.
The people that came up were awesome too, Lisa Marie, Dani, Chris, Kevin and friends, Dom, Jade, and of course Nikki really added to the overall greatness of the party, it was just too bad Anas couldn’t make it.
We scouted out the new location for the next Gibson lake party and it’s going to be even better the next time around. So stay tuned and I’ll keep you updated on when that’s going to happen
BoundbySound
This weekend was the 2nd edition of the BoundbySound boat cruise. If you didn’t attend this party you have no idea what you missed. I had such a good time (again) I wish it didn’t end. All the DJ’s played amazing and the crowd was so into the music.
I have to thank Anas Attia for throwing yet another great party. I look forward to anything BoundbySound does because I know it will be great.
